Please see below for the lesson summary from last Wednesday.

1. Native Korean numbers from 1-100

2. Counting nouns

- Objects/things: 개 (ex. 의자 한 개, 사과 스물여섯 개)

- Persons: 명/분(polite) (ex. 한국 친구 다섯 명, 할머니 할아버지 두 분)

- Animals: 마리 (ex. 개 두 마리)

- Cups: 잔 (ex. 커피 한 잔)

- Bottles: 병 (ex. 콜라 한 병)

- Books: 권 (ex. 책 열 권)

- Papers/ sheets: 장 (ex. 티켓 일곱 장)

- Age: 살 (ex. 서른세 살)

- Time-hour: 시 (ex. 아홉 시)

3. 있어요/없어요 "have/don't have"

ex) 저는 동생이 없어요. 저는 오빠가 있어요.

4. Question word 몇 "how many"

- 몇 + Counting noun + verb (ex. 오빠가 몇 명 있어요?)

5. Vocabulary: family titles

할머니, 할아버지, 아빠, 엄마, 언니, 누나, 오빠, 형, 동생, 남편, 아내(부인, 와이프), 아들, 딸, 사촌, 친척, 이모, 이모부, 고모, 고모부, 외삼촌, 외숙모, 큰아버지, 큰어머니

6. Culture class: using family titles to non-family friends

- Never call someone who is older than you by their names

- the term 친구 is only for a person you are close to that are the same age as you are

- Always address your family members by a title, except for 동생 (you use their names to call your younger sibling)
