[Adult Class - F2F] Week 1 - 1/26/25

안녕하세요!  Hello all! 새해 복 많이 받으세요! Happy new year! (It's lunar new year tomorrow!)

It was nice meeting you all on Sunday! Really looking forward to getting to know all about you throughout the semester - and - my apologies that the first class was a bit busy and overcrowded, I hope you still had fun making the fortune pouch (복주머니), and how to do deep bow for New Year (세배). Let's continue to have some fun next Sunday!

Please find the attached:

- Syllabus (general info for the class, plans, etc.) / level-test with answers (don't feel bad if you didn't know most of the answers anyway. We will learn together!)

- List of useful expressions that we will be using often in class. We will repeat them over and over again, so don't worry about memorizing them now. Feel free to practice them though :). I recorded the expressions so you can practice your reading/pronunciation if you'd like:

Next week, we will :

- Discuss how we will communicate with classmates to share fun Korean-related videos, recommendations for K-dramas/music, etc. (Facebook chat? Emails? Texts?)

- Learn how to play 윷놀이 (yut-nori) - traditional (and fun!) game that we often play on New Years day

- Learn useful expressions and how to introduce yourself in Korean.

In the meantime, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

고마워요!
